Frequently Asked Questions

What is your cancellation policy?

Your appointment is very important to us. We understand that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary. Therefore, we respectfully request at least a 24-hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling of appointments.

Please understand that when you forget, cancel, or change your appointment without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time. Any appointment missed, late canceled, or changed without a 24-hour notice will result in a charge equal to 100% of the reserved service amount. All appointments require a credit card to be stored on file.

Is Massage Therapy Suitable For Everyone?

While massage therapy is generally safe and beneficial, there are certain medical conditions that may require caution or consultation with a healthcare professional before receiving a massage.

Please inform your therapist of any medical concerns you have.

What should I expect during a massage session?

During a massage session, you'll be provided with a comfortable and private space. You can undress to your level of comfort and will be draped with a sheet throughout the session. Only the area being worked on will be uncovered. You will be kept informed of the areas that will be massaged. Additional consent is needed from you for areas such as the scalp, face, pectorals, abdomen, glutes, and feet.

Your massage therapist will use various techniques to address your specific needs. You have the right to request that an area being worked on be discontinued if it is uncomfortable or painful, whether it be physical or emotional.

  • The level of undress is entirely up to you. Many clients choose to undress completely for a more immersive experience and many choose to keep on their underwear. But, you can keep on as much clothing as you're comfortable with and your massage therapist will work with you and ask for consent before addressing the clothed areas.

  • The frequency of massage sessions can vary based on your individual needs. Some clients benefit from weekly sessions, while others find that monthly or quarterly appointments are sufficient. Our massage therapists can provide personalized recommendations during your consultation.

  • The pressure used during the massage is adjustable to your comfort level. Some techniques may cause some discomfort but should never be painful. A great rule of thumb is you should be able to take full breaths during any intense techniques.

You should communicate openly with your therapist about any discomfort, so they can tailor the session to your preferences.
